Here are the events for the week:
Wednesday, October 7th – General Body Meeting
Please join us at our weekly general body meeting where we will be having a Linde Group Speaker Panel featuring Anita McCoy, HR Business Partner and Robert Danek, Director of Project Execution. They will discussing the human issues related to a reduction in force and how to cope with organizational change. Dress is business casual. Refreshments will be provided.
Tuesday, October 6th – HRM Workshop, 50 points

The HRM department will be sponsoring an Employee Wellbeing 2.0 Workshop featuring speaker Karla Chin, President of Total Well-Being at Exude Inc. This event will focus on the essential components of a holistic and integrative wellbeing program that produces win-win results. Dress is business professional. Philly AIDS Walk (10 POINTS!)
Sunday, Oct. 18th-  5K Walk/Run Community Service Event to raise money for a cure for HIV/AIDS. Registration begins @ 6:30 am for runners and 7:30 am for walkers at the Philly Art Museum. Logan will be sending you all more information about where we can all meet up as the event approaches. In the meantime, you can:

BOO at the ZOO (10 POINTS!)
Thursday, Oct. 24th from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm– We will be dressing up and handing out candy to children at the Philadelphia Zoo. Mark your calendars! We will be sending out more details as the event approaches.

Be sure to start creating your e-portfolios, so you can start to keep track of your HRM professional achievement points! Stop by any of the e-portfolio committee’s office hours in Room A333c for help creating or exporting one from MIS. Instructions are also listed on our website @
Membership Reminder
To apply for a SHRM membership, you can fill out an application and bring it to our SHRM general body meetings or to Alter 333C. Membership dues are $30 for a semester or $50 for a year and you will get National SHRM membership. It can be cash or a check made out to Temple SHRM. There will be applications at all events or you can get it at Alter 333C. Please contact Phuong Nguyen at with any questions.
