TODAY! Relay For Life

  • We will be meeting in the Alter lobby at 5:45 tomorrow. Relay for Life registration
  • Registration is closed, but if you are still interested in coming to the event, registration will be open at the doors for $20.

What should you bring?!

A reusable water bottle – we’ll have stations to refill them to keep you hydrated all night! Remember, there is no alcohol allowed at this event, so please make sure the water bottle you bring is empty or sealed. Any open containers will have to be dumped at the door.

Money – this is a fundraiser, remember?! Make sure to bring some extra money for food and to support team fundraisers. We’ll be accepting credit cards as payment for registration at the door, luminaria sales, and raffle sales, but you’ll need cash for the other event activities and team fundraisers. If your team has been fundraising (thank you!), and you have cash or checks to hand in, please bring them tonight! If you have a lot of coin, and have a chance, please run into the PNC on Liacouras to cash them in!

Overnight supplies – We encourage you to bring pillows, blankets, and anything else to keep your team comfy until 3am! Games and entertainment, i.e. cards, board games, hula hoops, etc.(we will also have some, but the more the merrier!) Some food has been donated and some teams will be selling food as a fundraiser, but outside snacks are permitted. It’s a long event–please don’t starve yourselves!

Supplies for your team fundraiser – We’re asking that each team have some sort of fundraiser planned for tonight. Please bring whatever type of supplies you’ll need for your team’s fundraiser. Remember, the theme this year is Superheroes, so be creative and build that into your fundraiser!

Schedule of Activities!

  • Registration: 6-8pm**

  • Survivor Reception: 7pm

  • Opening Ceremonies: 8pm

  • Luminaria Ceremony: 9pm

  • First Round of Mr. Relay: 9:45pm

    • Following Rounds: 11:15pm, 12:15am

  • Zumba: 11:45pm

  • Closing Ceremonies: 2:30am

  • Throughout the night:

    • Cherry & White Games sponsored by the Cherry Crusade and Temple Student Government

    • Performances by Pitch, Please; TU Tappers; and the Irish Dance Club

    • Themed Laps

    • Games and contests and prizes!

**Registration will be open until 11pm; however, we encourage you to come before 8pm to enjoy the whole event! The doors will close at 11pm! If you leave after 11pm, you can’t come back in.
