Bright Hope Baptist Church Tutors Needed!

There will be tutoring at Bright Hope Baptist Church located on the side of Temple Towers starting September 23, 2014.  Tutoring is Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of every week from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. The expectation is that if you plan on going that you go at least ONCE a week.  There is a  poll on the homepage of our website for those who are interested in tutoring to see what will be best for members. I would like to have one or two days set so that the people who are going can go together and on a consistent basis.

If you are interested in tutoring, there are training sessions this week September 16-18 from 4-5 p.m to get tutors acquainted with the program, facility, and other tutors from other organizations. You only have to go to ONE of the training sessions. It is expected that you make one of the sessions because you will be filling out clearances. If you can’t make the training session this week but still interested, please email me so I can tell the people in charge of the program.

Join us on Sunday, October 19, 2014 @ 8:30 am for the 28th annual AIDS Walk Philly 5K!

Over 30,000 people in the Delaware Valley are living with HIV/AIDS. Many of our friends, family and neighbors are in desperate need of health care services and other life-saving programs, but with cutbacks in government dollars , these programs are often under-funded. Now, more than ever, your donations are needed to support organizations providing HIV/AIDS awareness, prevention education, counseling and testing and care services for people living with HIV/AIDS.

Join SHRM in our walk to fight AIDS on the 19th and help us raise $250 for the cause! You can RSVP to this event HERE! The more, the merrier!

AIDS Walk Philly will kick off from the foot of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
