The New Professional Acheivement Program Will Make You More Marketable!

This new program applies to all HRM majors and will be discussed at the Orientation on September 8th.

The program utilizes MIS technology (e-portfolios) to enhance your professional development as an HRM student! Sure, GPA matters, but professionalism and relationship building is equally significant to your success at Fox and thereafter. Your e-portfolio will help you track points, which you can receive for different activities and involvement within Fox and through TUSHRM.

HRM students will be required to gain at least 125 points each semester starting this fall 2014. Don’t worry though, with involvement in TUSHRM, you should easily acquire those 125 points in no time and the SHRM officers and advisers are here to help you get involved, have some fun, learn a little in that process, and ensure your success!

A New Semester Begins!

Come to our first meeting of the semester! It will be held on Wednesday, September 3 in Speakman 114 at 12PM. The meeting will cover what we have planned for the semester, and we will be providing all who come out with an new schedule and lineup of upcoming events including HRM week! So, bring your enthusiasm as well as any questions and suggestions for the upcoming semester. See you on the 3rd. Cheers to another semester!

Campus Philly Fall Events!

Here’s what Campus Philly has got lined up for this semester!  More details to follow, but save these dates! Although these are optional events for anyone to attend, we will try to work with other SPO’s to organize a day where we can all attend a specific event together.

Tuesday, September 9

Start.Stay.Grow. connects college students to the Philadelphia tech and entrepreneurial communities to help them join or start new ventures. Through a series of year-round programs and events, students have the opportunity to network with investors, mentors, successful entrepreneurs from hot local startups, and other entrepreneurial-minded students from area schools. This event is in partnership with Technical.ly Philly, Philly Startup Leaders, and Blackstone Launchpad.  

 

It All Adds Up: Launching Your Finance Career in Philly

It All Adds Up will highlight young professionals in finance and professional services. The event will begin with a panel discussion with audience Q&A, followed by a networking reception that will bring students and employers together to spark one-on-one conversations. Casual, informal recruiting will also be taking place, so dress sharp and bring your resumes! This event is sponsored by Wells Fargo.

 

I Love My Creative Job!

Wednesday, October 15
I Love My Creative Job! opens with a series of short lightning talks from professionals representing the broad range of creative fields in Philadelphia, including: advertising, product design, fashion and more. After the lightning talks, Campus Philly will lead an “ask me anything”-style discussion and networking reception. This event is sponsored by Allen & Gerritsen and is part of the DesignPhiladelphia Festival.
Online Internship Fair
October 27-31

This event has become a favorite of both students and employers. Hundreds of internship opportunities are waiting to be discovered; hundreds of students are ready for their big break. All you need to do is log on and post your internship and young professional job listings at campusphilly.org/careers. This online event is free for employers.
