Speed Meet & Greet

This week was HRM Week where students got to experience interacting with Human Resource Professionals in a “speed dating” environment. The Speed Meet & Greet took place during TUSHRM’s regular meeting time in the UG Commons on the 1st floor.

Students were able to ask questions to representatives from Comcast, Xerox, Aramark, Genesis HealthCare, Day & Zimmermann, Sunoco, PWC, SEI, Campbell’s and more! We had an amazing turnout for the event with over a hundred students from many different majors partaking in the event. This is was a great opportunity to network with potential employers.

TUSHRM at Ambler Campus had Renee Zung of Right Management come speak about the importance of LinkedIn in establishing a professional online presence. Her PowerPoint can be found in the Members Only section of the website. Right Management is a global leader in talent and career management workforce solutions. This is a great way to learn how to work on personal branding, marketing using social business tools, and other ways to use LinkedIn to meet business objectives.

An upcoming event we will be doing will be the AIDs Walk on October 20th at the Art Museum. An email will be sent shortly for you to be able to sign-up to walk with TUSHRM. Members and nonmembers are welcome! There will be buses for those who cannot finish the walk.

Don’t forget to vote on the front page about which Halloween themed attraction you would like to visit on October 27th!
