Today we had an amazing speaker come to our TUSHRM meeting – Michael Robinson. Mr. Robinson has conducted hundreds of professional development workshops, lectures, and motivational presentations for corporations, political forums and more! As an employee for the Temple University Human Resource Department, he oversees the Community Outreach & Hiring. His PowerPoint “Workplace Expectations: Re-Tool, Re-Brand, Re-Launch!” can be found in the Members Only page of the website. It was great learning about the do’s and don’t’s of finding a job. His lecture contains important knowledge on becoming a well rounded professional. As HR Majors, we should be the archetypes of what other professionals look up to.
We also were able to briefly join committees which you will be hearing more about in upcoming meetings! Also, sign up for the Mentor/Mentee Program which you can view more about here. The deadline is fast approaching and this can really benefit juniors, seniors and graduate students.
Don’t forget to take the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator test here. We will be discussing the results in our next meeting.
